Palin is McCain is Bush in drag

This woman can lie and double talk with the best of them. I feel it is important to note the many times she flat out lies. Not only does she lie about Sen. Obama, but she lies about herself. Worst of all, she believes that God is on our side. While free to believe this, to encourage others that "our prayers make the soldiers safe" (paraphrase) - I'd like to ask her what makes her thinking any different from those who fight against us?

The thought of this woman a "skipped" heartbeat away from the Presidency is enough to make this kitty claw every human on election day and make sure they get to the booth to vote for Obama/Biden. RAWR.

Little Kids and Video Cameras - Todd Palin

This is what Todd Palin thought when his wife was elected Mayor. Imagine his thoughts when she won Governor and then when the big call came. He is honest; I cannot fault him that. He also thinks a lot like me. How did she win?

************Note from Bad Kitty on Saturday October 4, 2008 *************
After extensive viewing and having an expert look at this video, we have both concluded that it cannot be relied on for accuracy. The person portrayed as Todd Palin does not appear to be close enough in resemblance to Mr. Palin.

However, as a piece of humor, Bad Kitty does love a laugh. I will retract my above statements with humble apologies. I do not believe the video to be authentic.

Bad Kitty Wakes Up

August, I think like most cats, I slept through the majority of it. Lets face it. Cats sleep 20 hours of the 24 hours day, and yet somehow I think we cram more living into our four hours of activity, but THAT is a debate for another time.

I'm checking in with you all because ... I said this would happen! You sillies. Now you all have to get serious and start making sense.

Make sure that those people you elected actually represent you. It is important to keep the credit flowing in this country - NOT necessarily for CREDIT CARDS, in case you haven't noticed - they are legal loan sharking. The fact that OUR government allows for interest rates ABOVE oh, say 14 to 15% in addition the predatory fees which in effect can render a person's ACTUAL interest to anywhere from 45% or higher depending on the balance. The GOAL for the credit card company is to keep the American CONSUMER IN DEBT. This is bad for America and all but the wealthy Americans.

Credit is important, however to businesses and job creation, employee retention. Of course, credit is also most important to home owners and those facing the nightmare of foreclosure. Why, if the BANKS and the FINANCIAL institutions are getting a bailout - can't we help those who were VICTIMS of the BANKS and FINANCIAL institutions - who in their unabated GREED - could not and would not STOP and got people into homes with these terrible ARMS (adjustable rate mortgages) which fluctuated based on the Fed. And again, just who and what is the Fed, but the GOVERNMENT'S ILLEGAL CREATION? So, they in their greed and desire to please BUSINESS in the lax of oversight (yah, the banks were going to oversee themselves and this wasn't going to happen - read how I predicted this months ago).... and rates go up and down to MANIPULATE our free economy? How is this capitalism again?

And Bush is NOT a SOCIALIST? No that's right - because not everyone benefits under his plan. Only the damn wealthy. Enough.

Well, that's it from the catnip patch. Let's face it - a Bad Kitty has not a lot to lose. My country got lost a while ago and until it comes back, well, I like rolling in the sun and nibbling the catnip.

Peace.

George Carlin: One Tequila, Two Techiquila, Three Techiquila - Wow no more Floor!

George Carlin's heart decided to finally stop beating Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 5:55 PST. What happens next to his essential being beats me. As the man himself said,
"Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did."
George Carlin really had a cool way of looking at the world, and as CNN noted in one of the stories I read, it is the quotes the people love. The way he used language to gently mock and open eyes to the very ridiculousness of certain institutions and just life in general.

Wonderful George Carlin Quotes!
"I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older; then it dawned on me - they're cramming for their final exam."

"Death is caused by swallowing small amounts of saliva over a long period of time."

"Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity. "

"Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck."
PUNS!
"I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence?

"Atheism is a non-prophet organization."

"Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things."
I do not believe for one minute the being, the essence that was George Carlin is hanging around here anymore. I do believe that he has passed into whatever happens next. I personally think its going to be a hell of a good time. This place we call home (Earth), and more personally, even though I never met the man, never even saw him perform live, my life was richer too because of George Carlin passing through. I hope that I too can do that, make someone else have a richer life and maybe even make a person or two smile along the way.

I'm not going to pet any sweaty things and I'm sure not going to sweat the petty things, thanks George! Bad Kitty sends love to the universe <3

US News and World Reports Censorship on Marijuana

This nasty piece of business appeared in the media, specifically US News and World Reports, The Brain on (Lots of) Marijuana. There are lots of problems with this "study" - most importantly the limited amount of subjects - 15 smokers and 15 non smokers. With such a small group, to try to draw conclusions is rather ridiculous. The article did not link to the study but merely mentioned where it was which is not very helpful at all.

I have a BS in Psychology and know the methodology one uses to draw scientifically valid data. A pool of subjects consisting of 15 people subjects and 15 control subjects simply is not large enough to draw any valid data. Yet, this article is published with this lead sentence:
"Marijuana's effect on the brain is far from understood, but Australian research published Monday in the Archives of General Psychiatry suggests that very heavy long-term smoking might be associated with structural changes in two areas of the brain rich in receptors to the drug."
Wow. If I had handed in this article in college with this lead sentence, I do believe I would have gotten an F, for I had excellent teachers.

No where in this article does it state any of the variables that were controlled on this extremely small sample group. Did they also smoke tobacco? Did they also drink alcohol? To get a true idea of the effect of long term marijuana use, should not those variables be controlled for as well" How can the data be pure, i.e. only examining the use of marijuana, if those variables are not controlled? Alcohol and tobacco just because they are legal does not mean that they are not drugs and that they do not have a synergistic effect with marijuana which may either reduce any beneficial effects from the plant, negate them, or make any negative effects worse. Bottom line, the actual effects from marijuana will not be known until we isolate from other variables. This much is clear and any real research scientist knows this.

So much scientific research has been done and has shown over and over again that marijuana use alone is beneficial. A person gets tired of reinventing the wheel again and again because the Powers that Be just don't want you growing medicine in your backyard. Well you know what - too bad. The study done on the Jamaican population for example - which to be honest - I am too tired to look up now. A person fights and fights and keeps looking up the information and what does the "other side" do? They lie and hide the facts. Can you see wherein maybe this Bad Kitty gets weary? I do site scientific evidence towards the end of this blog if you can be patient with a Bad Kitty in a mood.

Isn't it time that We the People stop listening to the propaganda nonsense and look at the real science. Not the science shoved down our throat by Big Media which I have just shown to be bogus. But rather science that gives you 30 to 40 footnotes of where these scientists took their cues from to begin this line of research and shows you the methodology ; hard science showing growth of new brain cells in rats when given THC and promising developments for cures for all kinds of cancers which all locked into this wonderful plant. This same plant that this government for its own strange and bizarre reasons of power and money has made ILLEGAL. This government will IGNORE its own studies (going back to the very first one commissioned) if the outcome is not NEGATIVE.

I shouldn't be surprised and yet I am. Anyway, when I tried to place a comment with proper rebuttals and scientific links to the absolute junk article which appeared in US World and News Reports (as linked above), it was deleted. Here is my post. I would love to know why it was deleted.

I've commented once and after reading all these comments - I'm going to add some more with links since people seem to enjoy links with references. This study is yet another classic example of propaganda. Proof? Read this article and decide for yourself. http://salem-news.com/articles/may162008/brain_propoganda_5-14-08.php

Next topic: "The Marijuana Conspiracy" which contains actual FACTS which I'm not going to even bother re-typing here. I'll give you one tidbit to whet your appetite -
"Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the CAR ITSELF WAS CONTRUCTED (sic) FROM HEMP! On his large estate, Ford was photographed among his hemp fields. The car, 'grown from the soil,' had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel; Popular Mechanics, 1941." Educate yourself and you might just be really surprised at what you did NOT know about marijuana. http://www.world-mysteries.com/marijuana1.htm

Listen to the longest surviving Federal marijuana user speak. He smokes way more than 5 joints a day. He actually has something to say. People should listen to him. No one in the government studied him or the other federal government users. The users themselves had themselves studied and the doctors found nothing wrong. The government said the findings were an anomaly. Would be funny it not so sad. Watch if you care to be informed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvzX8aNwxgM

How about the fact that this war on drugs kills innocent people? Is really worth it? Why don't you look at this site and think about it. I have. http://victims.drugwarrant.com

Now for some hard science - if you are not worn out by now. Science Daily reported in 2006 that the active ingredient in marijuana THC could slow Alzheimer's disease. From that study - "Their experiments show that THC also prevents formation of the amyloid plaques that are a hallmark of AD and its damage to the brain." American Chemical Society (2006, October 9). Marijuana's Active Ingredient May Slow Progression Of Alzheimer's Disease. Science Daily. http://www.sciencedaily.com /releases/2006/10/061009031544.htm

I find it fascinating that in 2007 researchers found that lung cancer tumor growth can be cut in half - yes you read that correctly - cut in HALF using marijuana. How many people know this? Again - why is marijuana illegal? Read this study and start asking yourself this question. American Association for Cancer Research (2007, April 17). Marijuana Cuts Lung Cancer Tumor Growth In Half, Study Shows. Science Daily. http://www.sciencedaily.com /releases/2007/04/070417193338.htm

Finally, when science runs amok - it appears from all studies done to date that our bodies naturally have marijuana-like compounds. They help us with many things including anxiety, depression and pain to name but a few. However, scientists are convinced that the marijuana plant alone just CANNOT be beneficial. They must synthesize it and make it BETTER. Hmmm. Well, in the meantime - why can't we decide for ourselves if we want to use this PLANT? All medications have side effects and this plant won't kill anyone - never has.

Read this study and tell me that science hasn't gone a bit mad with its desire to synthesize everything.
University Of Georgia (2005, July 1). Body's Own Marijuana-like Compounds Are Crucial For Stress-induced Pain Relief. Science Daily. Retrieved June 3, 2008, from http://www.sciencedaily.com /releases/2005/06/050628064435.htm

I mean, I understand that aspirin came from willow bark, but did they ever make willow bark illegal before that and make all kinds of wild claims? We are supposed to be enlightened educated people and we are acting like barbarians throwing people in jail over a plant. It's called civil disobedience. When the law is wrong and you are hurting no one, you break that law peacefully. Wow, what a concept!
Now I do not know what terms I possibly violated on their website. As far as I could tell, I violated none except the secret one. Do not include any beneficial uses of marijuana with scientific back up. Do not expose the Wizard for what he is - a sad man behind the curtain telling lies. That is our government. When you LIE like this - children believe it. They also believe crack and heroin aren't that bad either because you LIED to them about pot. Let us stop lying and be the responsible adults I know we can be. Please?

Bad Kitty is so tired. It is time to sleep in the sun and maybe have a pickle ;)

This is Your Brain On Propaganda - from Salem News.Com

May-16-2008 08:00

This Is Your Brain on Propaganda

Information tailored to fit the needs of a political agenda against marijuana

(SALEM, Ore.) - Originally the term propaganda referred simply to the dissemination of information intended to further any agenda; however during WWII, as it became associated with Soviet and German campaigns of misinformation, it took on a very negative connotation in American society. According to Wikipedia, “Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented.”

As a weapon in psychological warfare, propaganda has long been employed by governments eager to exploit the fears, beliefs and even superstitions of their target populace. My introduction to the subject of American drug war propaganda came at an early age, when I overheard my parents laughing about a government report claiming LSD killed brain cells. The report apparently referenced a study, in which living human brain cells were dropped into a vat of LSD, where they promptly shriveled up and died. This was absolutely true; however, what the report failed to point out is that placing those same cells in tap water would’ve produced the same result.

Another glaring example of 20th Century drug war propaganda can be found in the legendary film, “Reefer Madness.” In this 1936 cult classic, parents were warned that marijuana was evil, and use of it would likely result in the complete insanity of their children, as well as rape and murder and suicide and other terrible things. Although the spurious claims made in the movie were long ago debunked, a recently released report from the ONDCP (Office of National Drug Control Policy) attempts to put a new spin on our grandfathers’ reefer madness.

In the report titled, “Teen Marijuana Use Worsens Depression,” the authors repeatedly confuse correlation with causation. A correlation only shows that two variables are related. It does not, in itself, address whether one variable causes another. The studies referenced in the report only show that teens who are depressed are more likely to use cannabis than happier teens.

We all make mistakes, and as Stephen J. Gould noted, “The invalid assumption that correlation implies cause is probably among the two or three most serious and common errors of human reasoning.” For you or me to make this error around the water cooler would be completely forgivable. However, in this case our tax dollars were used to craft this report, and I would argue that the American public deserves better.

For nearly 100 years, the United States government has misled its citizens about cannabis, literally at our expense. Contrary to claims made by the ONDCP, an examination of the references at the end of this article shows that it is far from having been proven that marijuana causes or worsens depression in anyone. In fact, many people, young and old, have found relief from depression by using therapeutic cannabis. Former Drug Enforcement Administration Administrative Law Judge Francis Young, after reviewing all of the available science on the subject, called marijuana “one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man,” and “safer than many foods we commonly consume.” One study even shows that teens who experiment with cannabis may be healthier in general, than both those who abuse substances and those who abstain from all use.

Instead of educating our citizens about the real dangers we and our children face, our money is being spent prioritizing and propagandizing a lucrative political agenda, whose profits depend upon maintaining cannabis prohibition. In order for our government to justify continuing prohibition, voters must be convinced that it’s in our best interest to do so. Exploiting the fears of parents by painting anything as a threat to our children’s health and safety, even in the absence of any realistic risk, has usually been a successful way to accomplish that goal.

Although the ONDCP report claims to be, “released to coincide with May's Mental Health Awareness Month,”, it also happens to come out in time to be considered during the U.S. Congressional debates this summer, which will determine the appropriations of funding for the ONDCP for fiscal year 2009. Citizens who object to paying for the privilege of being indoctrinated with drug war propaganda have the means to change American “business as usual” at their fingertips.

Contact your Congressional representative and ask him or her to demand honesty, integrity, and accountability within the ONDCP when they decide how to fund the office for the coming year. Tell our members of Congress that “We the People” deserve and demand better than drug war propaganda from the people we pay to represent our interests and serve us.

When our government does anything in our name, we all bear responsibility for the outcome. Therefore we must accept the responsibility of demanding the very best for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children. And keep in mind the timeless words of Eric Hoffer, “Propaganda does not deceive people; it merely helps them to deceive themselves.”

Confession: Bad Kitty is an Aspie

What is an Aspie? It is someone with Asperger's syndrome. What is that? Asperger's syndrome is a very high functioning form of autism. I never knew I had it until I met someone else who had it who was much younger and I researched a lot more about it.

These are some of the differences between me and average people that I share with other folks who have Asperger's syndrome. These symptoms begin at a young age and persist unless they are worked on

  • Awkward basic motor skills (bumping into things all the time to this day!)
  • Obsessive interests
  • Highly organized and obsessed with order
  • Self stimulation to sooth (I called it Diddling! - just rolling my hand across the smooth texture of a blanket or sheet; it still works to this day, although I seldom do it unless I am tired)
  • As I was not discovered to be needing glasses until I was 10 (and could not see faces) I avoided the eyes of others (I could not see them!); I could not see the faces of my peers and was always anxious. I knew that I was missing something - I just didn't know WHAT!
  • I would talk to myself about my inner world; on and on, but I do not recall ever telling others and now in the present, I do go on and on about my interests and those who live with me do wish at times I would just be quiet. I do try.
  • As a teenager, I had difficulties with teachers and figures of authority because allegedly "the social cues that define societal hierarchies are invisible.." (from Wired: The Geek Syndrome) I still see those social hierarchies as invisible and believe that is rather a bit of rot. Teachers are there to TEACH. Students are there to LEARN. What do social hierarchies have to do with that at ALL? If I am 15 and there to learn HISTORY, is not that teacher required to give me the respect I am required to give him? What damn social hierarchy? Teachers are frequently mean because they can be. That is pure monkey feces. Do not make excuses for that crap because I refuse to buy it.
Anyway, I started this journey this morning because I found a great blog on Psychology Today by a fellow Aspie titled Neurological Disorder or Natural Diversity. There are great links in there, including the one to the Wired article. Those of us wired this way, we just think differently. We process information differently. I overcame so much of that which made me a person who lived inside myself. But, fundamentally, I am at my core the person who sees pictures and hears the trees sing.

I remember razzle dazzling in the dirt and everything in the earth being alive and talking to me; no people, just the earth and me in harmony. I didn't really need people, just knowing my dad was around and I was safe allowed me to go on with my journey. Blind, but seeing more than most, singing my heart out trying to get all the sounds out of my head because they were so glorious, and just knowing that being alive was the very best thing, ever.

China executes 11-year-old

Read this story folks. Yes, an 11-year-old boy was executed in China. Read about his crime. Read about how he had already done six months in solitary confinement. He was an 11-year-old boy who was murdered by his own government. Hey, what do we care? Right? We don't care as long as those Chinese Communists (didn't we NOT like Communists and use them as an excuse to do all kinds of nasty things; MY how things have changed!) give us that cheap stuff the United States has grown addicted to having. Rather, the society has been sold a bill of bogus goods you see -

HAVE IT ALL NOW AND PAY FOR IT LATER - the advertisement screamed at me. I thought to myself, this is what is what is so dreadfully, dreadfully wrong. I fear we certainly will pay for it later and at such a cost that a mere cat nor even mere silly mortal can imagine the price tag now.

A nation that was born of criminals and of war that seeks not to learn from its past and strive to be greater and better than any nation led by anointed kings or emperors deserves to fall like every other empire before it. That we are incapable of learning from history that war never has true victors and some are just war-like should be increasingly clear. Can a cat qualify as an expert? I want a gig!

Besides between hunger and China - this cat fears gettin eaten!

Instability: You Think Gas Prices Are High?

Reported on CNN's website this headline four hours, 55 minutes ago:

Riots, instability spread as food prices skyrocket

Kind of scary stuff if you ask me. This is the link to the article, so please read it so we all know what I am talking about here.

This gist of it is that we are in serious trouble. All of us and that means TPTB* (The Powers that Be aka the various governments and other semi-quasi whatever agencies that control money and power in various countries) as well, are in huge trouble if large portions of the entire planet begin starving. No one can control starving people. No one can predict what starving people will do.

It is also just fundamentally not right to do this to other human beings. We, the United States of America, are funding a war in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is wildly unpopular. We respect the people of those countries and their fundamental RIGHT TO GOVERN THEMSELVES.

Perhaps if we opened dialog with countries that we had ideological differences with and said can we agree that we all have the same fundamental right to exist here on this same planet? If we all have the same fundamental right to exist, then no one may hurt or kill another even in the name of religion. For if we have the right to exist then nothing may compel us to harm another human. That must be the fundamental first thing that all must learn and internalize. Harming another is harming oneself.

Throughout recorded history there has been nothing but war and blood in the name of religion, which is supposed to be holy and sacred. That which is holy and sacred would not demand or ask blood of its children. It would be gentle and kind, merciful and forgiving, like any good parent would be. No good parent would want to see a child suffer, never mind millenniums of war all in said parent's name instead of humble kindness and mercy always tempered with tolerance and understanding. The light of goodness does not have to be so difficult.

People can agree to disagree once they have agreed on one fundamental thing: we all have the right to exist.

So, now what do we do about these starving people? Because if we don't do something, it will be us next.

Because fundamentally feeding another is feeding yourself.

Meow....

A Man of Peace Speaks, Will Anyone Listen?

Reports from CNN (story here) say that the Dalai Lama actually supports China's hosting of the Summer Olympics (this again from a man who has lived in exile since 1959). But he expresses regret that the Chinese government blames him for all their problems in Tibet, as expressed in that CNN AP report from Narita, Japan:
"I really feel very sad the government demonizes me. I am just a human, I am not a demon."
What is truly amazing to he supports the Chinese hosting of the Summer Olympics. But he asks, most reasonably, that no one, not anyone tell the protesters to stop their protesting. They have the right to be heard, a right which does not exist in Tibet, the right to freedom of speech. He has asked for non-violence all protests, in the great tradition of Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr.

This silly Bad Kitty reminds you, this is a humble man. He does not adorn himself, like the Catholic Pope does (no disrespect intended). He simply wants freedoms for his people. He wants his culture not to disappear. He wants peace and for people to have a voice in the world. What is so wrong with this?

What is wrong is that the world will listen instead to the big Bully China who beats and terrorizes at home and now in other countries if allowed. China allows no other "story" other than the one she tells. That is the "truth" - the party line. China and her enslaved people sadden me, but it would sadden me far more if the whole world were to simply allow this Dragon to smile and eat everyone up because she provides cheap goods.

I'm glad I'm a cat sometimes. Going for a roll in the sand and then I'm sleeping in the sand after I destroy something nice - my claws so need a sharpening. RAWR!

Federal Reserve is a Fraud Against the American People

Time to reveal the blatant fraud that has been committed against the American people since 1913 when two days before Christmas on a Sunday, when most of Congress were on vacation (as normal people would be), the Federal Reserve Act was passed in that same Congress.

What did President Wilson have to say about the Act that he signed into law? This:
“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world."
From "Repeal the Federal Reserve Banks" by Rev. Casimir Frank Gierut

But let us go backwards a little bit. There was a secret meeting in 1910 which changed our country. Let us look at the players back in 1910 who were at this meeting.
  • Nelson Aldrich, daughter married to John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and close ties to J.P. Morgan
  • Frank A. Vanderlip, president National City Bank of New York, associated with the Rockefellers
  • Henry Davidson, senior partner of J.P. Morgan Comay
  • Charles D. Norton president of the First National Bank of New York
  • Col. Edward House, who would later become Pres. Wilson's close adviser and the founder of the Council of Foreign Relations
  • Paul Warburg from Kuhn, Loeb, & Co.
They men met in seclusion for 10 days in Jekyll Island, Georgia. Warburg would later write that,
"The matter of a uniform discount rate (interest rate) was discussed and settled at Jekyll Island."
How do we know so much about this meeting? Simple, Vanderlip wrote about it in his autobiography From Farmboy to Financier:
"I was as secretive, indeed I was as furtive as any conspirator. Discovery, we knew, simply must not happen, or else all our time and effort would have been wasted. If it were to be exposed that our particular group had got together and written a banking bill, that bill would have no chance whatever of passage by Congress…I do not feel it is any exaggeration to speak of our secret expedition to Jekyll Island as the occasion of the actual conception of what eventually became the Federal Reserve System.”
We were tricked by a bunch of greedy men. As early as 1896, populist William Jennings Bryan called for the unlimited coinage of silver if in his "Cross of Gold Speech". While silver may not have been the answer, the Federal Reserve Act, written in secret from the public and government was certainly NOT the answer either. Bryan (and I) want a government owned central bank which prints its own money whenever Congress needs it. I do not understand why we pay any interest at ALL to any private banks. We are the People and yet OUR money goes to PRIVATE individuals? WHY? They did this in secret and quite fraudulently.

I do not believe this was legal. I believe fraud was committed upon the American People.

I also believe that were it not for this fraud, that the IRS would not have continued its pursuit of a portion of a person's wages. The Supreme Court ruled that wages were a fair trade for a day's labor and thus not subject to IRS taxes, and yet every paycheck, for many people 1/4 to 1/3 is GONE and WHY IS THAT? To pay off these Private Bankers who quite honestly are rich enough. I mean, Goodness Gracious - I am only a cat and I know this is WRONG.

Why so much greed? Why so illegal and sneaky? We are such a great country and you MAY NOT STEAL OUR MONEY ANYMORE.

We do not have health care. We do not have houses anymore. We are growing angered at your GREED. Many more are educated. We are sick and tired of your PROPAGANDA. We see the TRUTH.

Marijuana is NOT dangerous. Alcohol is addictive and so are cigarettes. Stop being a hypocrite. Do not try to legislate morality. Heroin, cocaine and meth are BAD - weed is NOT. Stop lying to the children. Open your mind.

The world has changed. Change with it or you go down. I think it's all coming down anyway. But this greed must end. You committed fraud on US and WE DON'T LIKE IT. YOU HAVE ENOUGH. STOP. GIVE SOME BACK.

Chaos in the UK over the Olympic Torch and in France the Torch Goes OUT

Is there any surprise the the Olympic flame was extinguished? CNN reported what appears to be the ugly reality, pictures included. You cannot have peace with China. These people will not have any peace because you MAY NOT DISAGREE with them. This is contrary to the way the rest of the world behaves. We have varying degrees of freedom and as bad as our governments are, they DO NOT KILL WHOLESALE THEIR OWN CITIZENS BLATANTLY.

Read what is happening. Do not stay ignorant. This story appears here. This quote comes from that news article.

The Mail described the Chinese guards helping escort the flame as a "mysterious private army."

"Wearing blue tracksuits, the hired 'thugs' barged protesters out the way and even shoved spectators in Downing Street, where the torch was greeted by [British Prime Minister] Gordon Brown."

Now of course, China is selling its side of the story, but there are photos. Just like the photos from Burma showing the murder point blank of the Japanese photographer (such a sickening thing to witness a murder). Again, I encourage you to click and look for yourself. Do the photos lie?

In France, the lovers of liberty, they are far more passionate about what China has done to its people and to Tibet. The Paris mayor has ordered a banner to fly over city hall to read "Paris City of Human Rights." How I love the freedom loving French today! For in this article (which you can read here) this quote appears:

In most cases, however, the torch passed through London without incident.

One must wonder what that writer was smoking when he read that. I read the first article and I certainly thought there was incident. Oh, perhaps that writer does not think having a private army of Chinese thugs being there to help suppress any dissenting voices means anything that s/he would label as incident. What a Brave New World we have entered indeed! Or am I Alice slipping down some strange rabbit hole?

Either way, the whole world is coming with this Bad Kitty, so just maybe people should pay a little attention to the sayings of a cat, just this once.

I have much to say on the Federal Reserve. They have committed fraud on the American People. But I will make a separate blog to detail it. I just have much to do, and typing with paws it rather difficult. Time for a good grooming and a visit to the litter box.

Maybe Bad Kitty will roll around in the sun a little bit too. RAWR!!!

University of Massachusetts and China

In the midsts of China's brutal suppression of Tibet, what does my alma matter, UMass do? They proudly announce that they are the FIRST university to enter an online agreement with China. I am outraged. I am furious. The story appeared yesterday on ZDNet, please read here.

I am the only one who has left a comment. I cannot believe this either. We are so apathetic here in the United States. We don't even seem to realize what a giant mess we are in, so maybe I should not be so harsh and condemning of my fellow citizens, but wholesale slaughter again! Every nine years the Chinese do this and they have more than enough people so they CAN! We hunger so badly for cheap slave goods that this doesn't bother us? It SHOULD because China will eventually rule us all. Look at the population and the size. We were afraid of Russia, why not China? This trading with her is not wise. Going to Beijing for the Olympics is not wise - no citizen of this country should give one dime to that Dragon who eats her own. She would just as gladly eat US. She has slept for a long time and is ready to rule again.

China is soulless, greedy and evil - at least her leaders. Let not her people suffer any longer because we are like her leaders - soulless, evil and greedy. Let us (US) show that we are compassionate, lovers of freedom and we will not stand for suppression of human rights - Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech. Heck, how about FREEDOM!

Let FREEDOM RING!

And let it RING here at home too. Let the "Patriot" Act be gone! More on that in the next post! This Bad Kitty is letting it all out of the bag!

What Is Happening?? Eh Canada???

I received this in a myspace bulletin. Where I receive a lot of my news... sadly. Reading this makes me angry and sad at the same time. Truly our world has gone mad. I'm out of things to say. That this too is allowed to happen... and yet we will go to China and have the Olympics and ignore everything that is truly important, but this man will go to jail, because he knows he has to for his friends and he really believes in something. I'm sure people thought Ghandi was too much and the same for Martin Luther King. Didn't they know their places? Couldn't they just maintain the status quo for goodness sakes?

Well.. NO.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

Just how long was Nelson Mandela in jail? Now, I know that had to do with he and his people being treated as LESS than people, but when you think about it, marijuana has benefits, MEDICINAL benefits. Who is any government to tell anyone that he or she cannot grow a plant and use it for medicinal (or even recreational) uses? Never mind to put them in JAIL over it.

I'm only one Bad Kitty. You read the article. It describes a very scary situation (at least in my very humble opinon). Tell this Bad Kitty what you think... or maybe there is just no one there. Because I don't really think anyone cares about individual rights or what the powers that be (TPTB) do to us little folk. That is sad and scary as hell. Bad Kitty might just go hide in a closet and pee!

VANCOUVER - Marc Emery, Vancouver's self-styled Prince of Pot, has tentatively agreed to a five-year prison term in a plea bargain over U.S. money laundering and marijuana seed-selling charges.

Facing an extradition hearing Jan. 21 and the all-but-certain prospect of delivery to American authorities, Emery has cut a deal with U.S. prosecutors to serve his sentence in Canada. He also hopes it will save his two co-accused - Michelle Rainey and Greg Williams, who were his lieutenants for so much of the past decade.

The three were arrested in August 2005 at the request of the United States and charged even though none had ventured south of the border. Since then, they have been awaiting the extradition hearing. With the proceedings about to begin, Emery says his lawyer brokered the best deal possible.

If accepted by the courts in both countries, Emery said he will serve the full term and not be eligible for Canada's lenient get-out-of-jail-early rules.

"I'm going to do more time than many violent, repeat offenders," he complained. "There isn't a single victim in my case, no one who can stand up and say, 'I was hurt by Marc Emery.' No one."

He's right. Whatever else you may think of Emery - and he grates on many people, what is happening here is a travesty of justice. Emery's case mocks our independence as a country. Prosecutors in Canada have not enforced the law against selling pot seeds and all you need do is walk along Hastings Street between Homer and Cambie for proof.

There are numerous stores selling seeds and products for producing cannabis. Around the corner, you'll find more seed stores. You'll find the same shops in Toronto and in other major Canadian cities.

The last time Emery was convicted in Canada of selling pot seeds, back in 1998, he was given a $2,000 fine. Emery has flouted the law for more than a decade and every year he sends his seed catalogue to politicians of every stripe.

He has run in federal, provincial and civic elections promoting his pro-cannabis platform. He has championed legal marijuana at parliamentary hearings, on national television, at celebrity conferences, in his own magazine, Cannabis Culture, and on his own Internet channel, Pot TV.

Health Canada even recommended medical marijuana patients buy their seeds from Emery. From 1998 until his arrest, Emery even paid provincial and federal taxes as a "marijuana seed vendor" totalling nearly $600,000.

He is being hounded because of his success. The political landscape has changed dramatically as a result of Emery's politicking for cannabis. Emery challenged a law he disagrees with using exactly the non-violent, democratic processes we urge our children to embrace and of which we are so proud.

But along the way he has angered the anti-drug law-enforcement community - the same gang that insists we must continue an expensive War on Drugs that has failed miserably for more than a quarter century and does more harm than good.

Canadian police grew so frustrated that neither prosecutors nor the courts would lock up Emery and throw away the key, they urged their U.S. counterparts to do the dirty work. And that's what's wrong.

Emery is being handed over to a foreign government for an activity we are loath to prosecute because we don't think it's a major problem. His two associates were charged only as a way of blackmailing him into copping a plea.

It's a scandal.

Emery is being made a scapegoat for an anti-cannabis criminal law that is a monumental failure. In spite of all our pricey efforts during the last 40 years, and all the demonization of marijuana, there is more pot on our streets, more people smoking dope and more damage being done to our communities as a result of the prohibition.

There is a better way and every study from the 1970s Le Dain Commission onward has urged change and legalization.

Regardless of what you think of Emery, he should not be facing an unconscionably long jail term for a victimless, non-violent crime that generates a shrug in his own country. Emery is facing more jail time than corporate criminals who defrauded widows and orphans and longer incarceration than violent offenders who have left their victims dead or in wheelchairs.

And while he has long seemed to court martyrdom, Emery is by no means sanguine about what is happening. He is angry at local lawyers for failing to come up with a viable defence.

"They had two years and $90,000 and they came up with nothing," he fumed. "John Conroy called me up and said 'take the deal - Michelle will die in jail. Michelle will die in jail!' What can I say to that?"

Rainey, who has a medical exemption to smoke marijuana, has Crohn's disease. Incarceration in the U.S. would deprive her of her medicine, and she fears it could lead to her death.

"It's an ugly situation but Marc expects miracles," Kirk Tousaw, one of the lawyers involved, told me. "There aren't any here."

He's right. Our extradition law puts Canadian citizens at the mercy of foreign governments and judges can't do much about it. Emery is being forced to accept a deal because not only are two of his friends in jeopardy if he doesn't, but also to go south for an unfair trial would mean serving as much as 20 years in prison, perhaps more.

One of his friends, for example, was handed a 30-year sentence for growing 200 plants. This is wrong.

If Emery has been breaking the law and must be jailed, our justice department should charge him and prosecute him in Canada. It's time for Justice Minister Rob Nicholson to step in and say, sorry, Uncle Sam, not today - not ever.
