A Man of Peace Speaks, Will Anyone Listen?

Reports from CNN (story here) say that the Dalai Lama actually supports China's hosting of the Summer Olympics (this again from a man who has lived in exile since 1959). But he expresses regret that the Chinese government blames him for all their problems in Tibet, as expressed in that CNN AP report from Narita, Japan:
"I really feel very sad the government demonizes me. I am just a human, I am not a demon."
What is truly amazing to he supports the Chinese hosting of the Summer Olympics. But he asks, most reasonably, that no one, not anyone tell the protesters to stop their protesting. They have the right to be heard, a right which does not exist in Tibet, the right to freedom of speech. He has asked for non-violence all protests, in the great tradition of Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr.

This silly Bad Kitty reminds you, this is a humble man. He does not adorn himself, like the Catholic Pope does (no disrespect intended). He simply wants freedoms for his people. He wants his culture not to disappear. He wants peace and for people to have a voice in the world. What is so wrong with this?

What is wrong is that the world will listen instead to the big Bully China who beats and terrorizes at home and now in other countries if allowed. China allows no other "story" other than the one she tells. That is the "truth" - the party line. China and her enslaved people sadden me, but it would sadden me far more if the whole world were to simply allow this Dragon to smile and eat everyone up because she provides cheap goods.

I'm glad I'm a cat sometimes. Going for a roll in the sand and then I'm sleeping in the sand after I destroy something nice - my claws so need a sharpening. RAWR!
